NBC After this season: After this TV season is over, NBC will loose Friends and Frasier. They have already lost football, baseball and basketball. NBC's highest rated show, Will and Grace, isn't guaranteed to be back next season. Their other hit shows, ER and Law and Order, have been on TV for such a long time, NBC can't expect them to be on forever. They have a pretty good thing going on with Fear Factor and The Apprentice, but those two shows can't compete with Surviour or American Idol. The Apprentice is getting huge rating because it comes on half an hour after Friends on Thursdays. How is it going to do next year when it will be without Friends and will have to compete with the return of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

Best Super Bowl Halftime Show Ever: No, it has nothing to do with the fact Janet Jackson's breast was exposed. So, is she trying to do what Maddona and Britney did on the MTV awards?

Best Super Bowl Commercials:

  1. McDonalds - 'Dryer/ burger smell': A dude puts a burger wrapper in the dryer by mistake. As a result his wife smells like McDonalds and when he sniffs the smell on her, they start getting it on in the kitchen counter.
  2. Budweiser - 'Referee': The announcer is wondering how the referee can take the coaching yelling at him. The scene goes to the referee's house showing his wife yelling at him
  3. Mastercard- 'Homer Simpson': Homer gets annoyed by the dude who says 'priceless' for mastercard
  4. Charmin - 'Snap': The QB looses his concentration because the Charmin toilet paper sticking out of his center is so soft. Delay of game is called
  5. Subway - 'Be Bad': The announcer explains that when Subway meant you can be bad, he means you can eat bad, not do bad things
  6. Budweiser - 'Lipstick': A dude drives all the way to LA thinking his girlfriend left his lipstick in his car. When he gets to her, she tells him it is not hers.
  7. America Online - 'Car': The car is so fast, the dude can travel time
  8. Chevrolet - 'Soap': Kids are so amazed by the new Chevy's, they say 'Holy S***' when they see one. As a result, there mounts' is being washed out with soap
  9. 7-Up - 'Delivery Truck': Dudes get hurt trying to dunk on the back of a moving 7-Up truck
  10. Bud Light - 'Dogs Fetching': The dude gets his c*** bit because he is so cocky. How ironic.
  11. Bud Light - 'Chimpanzee': the monkey starts to talk and asks a girl to go upstairs and do the nasty
  12. Frito-Lay - 'Grandparents Rev. 2': a grandpa is able to wrestle away the chips from his wife but she has his teeth
  13. Cadillac - 'Turbulence': the car is so fast, it is faster than the speed of sound
  14. Gillette - 'Feeling of Gillette': men dream of being unstoppable. I don't know what his has to do with Gillette but I like this commercial
  15. NFL Network - 'Manana': NFL dudes sing 'Tomorrow is only a day away' because it is super bowl Sunday and they are not playing in the game

Stupid Super Bowl Commercials: I thought the Bud Light - 'Spa Treatment' with Cedrick was really corny. I also did not like Bud Light - 'Spa Treatment' commercial.

Crew of Becker
Becker gone: Well Damn! Over the last few months, the syndicated version of Becker has become on of my favorite shows on TV. I thought the show had been cancelled a long time ago. I found out that last night CBS aired the series finale of the show. What the? Why are they gonna air the series final in January? Was the show doing that bad in the ratings they could not wait until spring? I joined this yahoo group last night to find out whatever happened to one of the character in the show (Reggie). Instead I find out the show is being canned. Well Damn!

ABC Bringing Back Millionaire and Regis: Wasn't it this show that started all the reality takeover? Since that show aired in 1999, the only reality stuff I have like was this one. I never really got in to the others. All the major networks have a reality show now. Well I don't know about WB. I know UPN has that Tyra Banks model search thing.

Nicole Richie
It could not have been live: Did anyone else watch the Billboard Musics Awards last night? Nicole Richie from The Simple Life was presenting an award and she cursed. She said the F word and the S world and it was not bleeped out. It looked like she was reading from the telecompter too. The show could not have been live. When Beyonce was walking on stage to accept her first award, the TV announcer guy was like, "Yeah this is her fourth award." Huh? How is that possible? Unless they were only broadcasting some awards. Anyways, the best part of the show was when Triumph The Insult Comic Dog came out. He was making fun of everybody infront of their faces. No actually the best part of the show was when Nicole Richie cursed. I don't believe the F and S word are allowed on TV.

Is CBS king or is CBS king?: According to this article, everyboyd watches CBS. Of the top 11 most watched shows on TV, 9 are on CBS. The other two (MNF on ABC and Fear Factor on NBC) are not really shows making CBS the only place to get good drama or comedy. The only thing I watch on CBS is football on Sundays. CBS covers the AFC and my team is the Ravens. Of the three big networks, NBC is my favorite. My two favorite shows are on NBC, Saturday Night Liveand Friends. Jay Leno is choice of late night followed by Conan. Here are the top watched shows of last week:
1. Survivor: Pearl Islands, CBS, 20.1 million viewers
2. CSI: Miami, CBS, 19.7 million viewers
3. Everybody Loves Raymond, CBS, 19.15 million viewers
4. 60 Minutes, CBS, 19.14 million viewers
5. Two and a Half Men, CBS, 17.1 million viewers
6. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (9 p.m., Thursday), CBS, 16.6 million viewers
7. Cold Case, CBS, 16.5 million viewers
8. CBS Sunday Movie: Finding John Christmas, CBS, 16.2 million viewers
9. NFL Monday Night Football, ABC, 15.9 million viewers
10. Fear Factor, NBC, 15 million viewers
10. King of Queens, CBS, 15 million viewers

AMA follow up: The show was not bad. It was much better than the Radio Music Awards. Outkast by far had the best performance. I think this is the third time I have seen Andre 3000 performing his song in the last 2 weeks. First on SNL, then on the Jay Leno Show this past Friday. I love that song, "Hey Ya". That is the freshest, dopest joint on the airways. But anyways here is the result to my winners predictions. I made two different kind of predictions, who I would give it to and who I thought would win. For the one's I would have given it to, only 5 out of 14 won (I did not miss any from the Rap/Hip Hop category.) I did a little bit better with who I thought would actually win it: 7 out of 14.

Top 10 TV Shows: These were my favorite shows on April 20, 2003
  1. Baltimore Ravens games [still number one]
  2. Baltimore Orioles games [not in season]
  3. Take Me Out to the Ball Game [don't really much care for it anymore]
  4. CBS NFL Pregame Show [don't really much care for it anymore]
  5. Full Court Press [still watch it]
  6. The Tonight Show with Jay Leno [still watch it]
  7. Saturday Night Live [one of my favorites]
  8. Late Night with Conan O'Brien [second to leno]
  9. Last Call with Carson Daly [don't much care for it]
  10. BBC World News [don't much care for it]
Current Top 10 TV Shows:
  1. Baltimore Ravens games
  2. Friends
  3. Saturday Night Live
  4. Monday Night Football
  5. The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
  6. Late Night with Conan O'Brien
  7. Simpsons reruns
  8. Full Court Press
  9. Will and Grace reruns
  10. Just Shoot Me reruns
There a lot of new entries. I watch new episodes of Friends now because it is the last season. Of all the shows listed above, I think it is the least funniest but Friends is the only sit com I tune in every week. I like to tune in Monday nights at 9 pm on ABC to see what kind of pre-game showcase Monday Night Football puts on. This year the original "Are You Ready For Some Football?" singer shares the stage with other musicians, which I don't find very musing. Hey at least they try something new every year. I have always liked the Simpsons but I almost always was not in my room when it came on TV. This semester I have a lot more free time so I catch it on TV on and off. Jay Leno still has the funniest 15 minutes on TV with his standup. Will & Grace and Just Shoot Me come on late at night and I watch them when they are on.
